Today a security flaw was announced in PHP, the software that powers around 70% of the world’s websites. The flaw is not specific to us: it affects websites run by businesses and public bodies worldwide.
Following guidance from the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre and other national cyber security agencies, we have taken our website offline as a precaution while we apply the official security updates. Many organisations, including government websites in the Netherlands and Finland, have taken the same step today.
